Why are LifeGroups important?

We value the individual and make every effort to ensure that no person is lost in the crowd.

Sunday morning gatherings, though necessary in their own right, do not provide sufficient opportunities for effectively getting to know each other. That is why we highly recommend involvement in a LifeGroup.

LifeGroups, small groups of people that meet in homes during the week, are one way that we can facilitate the connecting and strengthening of relationships within our Southlands family.

LifeGroups are our most effective discipleship and evangelistic (reaching out) tool. They are a forum where team is expressed through mutual accountability (opening our lives to one another), shared values (believing in the same key principles) and joint ventures (doing things together).

Our goal is to enrich your life through relationships and not programs. LifeGroups are therefore a vehicle to produce effective change, growth and maturity in and through the individual. We take seriously the biblical injunction to change our world and feel that LifeGroups enable us to achieve this most effectively.

The Christian call is experienced through faith, lived out by devotion and motivated by a genuine concern for the physical, mental and spiritual state of our fellow human beings, wherever they may live. LifeGroups enable us to creatively and productively thrive.
