We're a mulicultural community of friends who love God, love each other and desire to impact and change our world.

What does that mean?

Multicultural:

As a community of believers, we celebrate the differences of our cultures but never focus on them to the extent that they become divisive or unbiblicalWe will never value one cultural / ethnic group over another. We allow people to express themselves in whatever language they choose for worship and prayer.

 Community of Friends:

We believe that church is NOT a place where people just show up, stick around for an hour and then leave unnoticed.  We place a high value on relationships and a sense of community.  We value people and our relationships with them regardless of their status, age, careers, wealth, etc.  Our goal is to enrich your life through relationships and not just programs.

Who love God:

Our purpose in life is to bring pleasure to our God and King. We have been entirely transformed by the love and grace of God, and are therefore expressive and exuberant in the way we demonstrate our love back to God. We may sing loudly or softly, with joyous dancing or quiet contemplation, but our worship is always directed towards Jesus, for His pleasure.  Our focus is not on gimmicks, techniques, steps or methods. Our focus is on expressing a real love for God in a real wayYou will not be forced into expressing yourself in a prescriptive or controlling way.

Love each other:

Love is expressed through mutual accountability (opening our lives to one another), shared values (believing in the same key principles) and joint ventures (doing things together). We value the individual and make every effort to ensure that no person is lost in the crowd. We offer family-style meetings, called “Connexions,” in the homes of church leaders throughout the week.  Connexions are forums where and individual's needs can be expressed and taken care of within the safety of a family environment. Each individual in the community shares the responsibility for one another. This is not left up to “paid professionals” and we encourage the formation of good, healthy and pure relationships.

Desire to impact:

We exist for the benefit of others. We love our community and exist to serve the members of the community God has called us to. Our city should be better because we are in it. As Christians, we are motivated by a genuine concern for the physical, mental and spiritual state of our fellow human beings, wherever they may live. We are intentional about sharing our faith and our service flows out of a response to God’s commands and not the most pressing need. We strive to unearth and hone the leadership qualities of each person so they can make an impact for God in their spheres of influence (business, school, home, etc.).

and change our world:

Our goal is to transform culture not only in our city, but throughout the state, nation and the world by living a lifestyle that Jesus embodied. Truth, righteousness and mercy are foundational to this lifestyle. This is accomplished more effectively by maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with other churches.  Our effectiveness in reaching our city is directly proportionate to the depth, strength and reality of our relationships with our greater communityBy creating and sustaining real partnerships we can reach and impact more nations and people groups than we could if we tried to do it alone.
